Radiance-enhancing protective oil

The BT radiance-enhancing protective oil is a special blend of organic vegetable oils that is light-weight and dry-touch, designed for all hair types: almond, apricot, jojoba and coconut oils are combined with Setol,® a patented medicinal plant compound derived from Tuscan vegetable oils with elasticising and anti-oxidant properties.

Almond oil contains a significant quantity of fatty acids as well as vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, D and E. It therefore offers nourishing, protective and strengthening properties for hair too, in addition to improving micro-circulation of the scalp. We specifically selected it due to its impenetrability, unlike other oils, such as coconut oil, which instead have a high penetrative ability and are therefore used as carriers for active ingredients.

Almond oil on the other hand does not substantially penetrate the hair shaft, but rather settles on the surface; this is why it is used to add body, shine and softness to dry, damaged and lifeless hair, which it protects and strengthens.

Apricot oil is very rich in anti-oxidants, unsaturated fatty acids, phytosterols and vitamin E. It is an elasticising, emollient and protective oil, which also stimulates sebum production, regulating the hydrolipidic film and thereby acting on the skin, while making your hair softer and glossier.

Jojoba oil is in actual fact a wax, since it is composed of a blend of wax esters, in other words fatty substances that form a mantle, vitamin E and minerals. 98% of its composition is made up of monounsaturated fats and 2% saturated fats; this is how it manages to penetrate the hair follicles and reinforce hair at the root, while nourishing the hair fibres. It is a natural moisturiser and in addition to having emollient and protective properties, it also helps regulate sebum secretions and has UV ray protective properties.  This makes it ideal for both the skin and hair which it moisturises, nourishes and strengthens without weighing down on your hair and leaving it soft and silky smooth: a must-have for your hair care.

Coconut oil is rich in fats, anti-oxidants and nourishing substances; in fact it is composed up to 90% of unsaturated fatty acids such as lauric, caprinic, caprylic and capric acids. Thanks to its penetrability, it is used as a carrier of active ingredients. It makes your hair strong and glossy, as well as reinforcing it and inhibiting the occurrence of dry scalp.

Indeed, as a natural emollient, it retains moisture, restoring body and shine to your hair, which it strengthens thanks to vitamin E. Lauric and capric acids also have antibacterial properties which make this treatment effective against hair loss. Another oil with well-known, precious properties for your hair.

Setol® is a special blend of organic Tuscan vegetable oils (olive oil, sunflower oil, linseed oil and grapeseed oil) with elasticising and anti-oxidant properties which we first used in our new radiance-enhancing protective oil.

This active ingredient is created by applying exclusive enzyme technology to the vegetable oils, thereby transforming them into an unprecedented medicinal plant compound and making the blend more similar to water, with some major innovative characteristics: enhanced absorbability, better bioavailability, increased efficiency, enhanced anti-oxidant and emulsifying properties, loss of oiliness.

Setol® contains important active molecules in free state: oleic acid, linoleic acid, palmitoleic acid, squalene, alpha-linolenic acid, gamma-linolenic acid.

This makes Setol® an efficient anti-oxidant, strengthening and elasticising hair product. Special comparative analyses conducted between a common blend of oils and another containing this patented active ingredient have in fact demonstrated an increase in the elasticity of hair with Setol®.

The oils selected and picked for Setol® are other oils with repairing, nourishing, elasticising and moisturising properties which are thus enhanced, with a special, enjoyable non-oily feel on your hair.

Suggested use: use in small quantities on wet hair, making sure you distribute it evenly along the whole hair shaft We recommend you spray it first onto your hands then distribute over your hair.
