Cypress hydrolat

Biofficina picked the cypress hydrolat for its multiple properties for the face and body, as well as for the hair and scalp.

It is a base product, and it can be used in combination with other Biofficina Toscana cosmetics and in particular with the new and innovative shampoo concentrates.

It originates from cultivations in the Maremma area, from a small organic farm that has joined the other Tuscan concerns with whom we work: the Azienda agricola bio Pian della Contessa organic farm situated near Sorano (GR). Should these crops be unable to satisfy our annual requirements, it will not be available until the following year, since we cannot rely on any other Italian produce.

Hair and body: it has astringent properties owing to the presence of valeric acid, tannic acid, cypress camphor, but also balsamic properties owing to the presence of silvestrene, pinene and camphene, which are anti-bacterial and vasotonic. Its use is recommend to help combat blotchy and young skin prone to acne and it also helps in treating cellulite since it reinforces the skin's micro-circulation.

Hair: it is also recommended to soften an irritated scalp, soothing itchy skin and restoring balance and tone to fragile hair. It can therefore be used on lifeless, weak or dry hair.

Suggested use: use on the face and body as needed; we recommend diluted use for the face. . You can also spray onto the hair since its acidic pH seals the hair fibre and makes it shine. Ideal for dilution of all Biofficina Toscana shampoos, especially the reinforcing variety which repairs dry, brittle and treated hair.
